Breathing OM in every breath
This ancient Sanskrit symbol is a beautiful reminder to do what comes naturally – Breathing. It’s the first thing we do when we come into this world and the last thing we do when we leave it.
The journey from one’s life till their death is full of milestones – having relationships, the need to give and receive love, hopes of having faith, and the quest for finding your life’s true meaning. Just like breathing is essential to human biology, the craving for emotions is essential to human nature – I would say more so than our materialistic demands. Each one of us craves different emotions; each one of us owns diversified greed. There are some people who refuse to accept the truth and spend their lives running away from it. There are others who conveniently accommodate their truths according to their environment and surroundings. There are yet others who have embraced their circumstances as the truth and are peacefully living with it. But, the perennial need for feeding the truth to your soul has driven some to keep digging deeper so that they can truly understand the purpose of their own existence and life’s experiences. It can be said that this obsession of uncovering the truth has sprouted out of the fear of getting hurt, or losing out on a relationship. Whatever the need may be, what we achieve in the process of finding authenticity in a world of unauthentic human personalities should in the end bring us peace and allow us to accept our existence wholeheartedly.
Finding Peace
We have already ascertained that we are all different in our own ways, so in the same manner, the property of being normal also varies from person to person. What is normal for me, maybe unnatural for you. So, the process of discovering peace works differently for each of us. The question we need to ask ourselves after all our exploration is that did we achieve that peace or clarity which will guide us to the secret of being emotionally, physically, and socially secure? After all, that’s the only thing that matters.

Inhale & Exhale
The act of breathing throughout what we receive and what we deliver, is the actual process that one needs to master to find peace. I say this because I truly feel that the truth, once found, should set us free – free from fear, free from insecurities, hurt, or failures. The expectations of the outer and the inner world can be defined as two different journeys that a person has to go through during their life. The ability to balance peace and sanity throughout these two parallel paths contains what we breathe in, and what we breathe out.

Breathing In
-
Gratitude – “I have decided to be grateful because it is good for my health.” So, breathe in gratitude for your health, your family, your possessions, the people around you, your achievements, everything. Decide to be grateful for what you have and never dwell on anything that you don’t.
-
Positivity – Many people are burdened with sadness because they believe that their dreams and goals have not materialized. However, I feel that with this kind of perspective in life, you may be prepared to live, but you will never actually be living. No matter what you are surrounded with when you try to find beauty in the beasts, you will be focusing on the good in the evil, hope in heartbreak, faith in the fallen, and smile in the sadness. A positive mindset can be within your reach if you breathe that into you.
-
Teaching – When you get stuck in an unwanted or hurtful event, try to breathe in the wisdom it is trying to teach you and learn from that. You are what you think; you are the product of your own thoughts and visualization. So, it is you who needs to look for the silver lining. And then, each experience, good or bad, will become a self-taught life lesson.
-
Opportunities – Every single minute of your breathing is an opportunity to live or take in something better. And, by looking for those better opportunities, you are making disappointments insignificant. The law of attraction delivers what you incessantly focus on; so focus on hope, take the chance on seeing the light, and you will find that at the end of the tunnel!
-
Motivation – Look for things that motivate you. The matters that usually excite you or bring passion into your breathing are very close to your personal growth and hold the power to bring out the best version of you. Do not suppress what your heart desires, what your mind encourages, and what your soul kindles – these are the signs given by your subconscious living. If you ignore them for some set mouldings and frames you have created for yourself, you will be missing out on important, elevating milestones that you could cross through these signboards.

Breathing Out
-
Complaints – Every little complaint that you create in your mind is taking you on the path towards tenebrosity. This gets deeper and irreversible each time you question life with sadness. I say breathe out all the complaints that your mind has piled up. Turn back – turn back from that path even if you find yourself surrounded by negative people, and look for the positives in everything you hear, say, or think.
-
Negativity – Breathing out negativity will bring about a new aura and a strong persona in what you process inside you. Every living space has a natural birthright to choose what they like and how they want to function. Let each thing you experience have its own element around you, and without putting them in any category – good or bad – just breathe out what feels negative, because it’s within you first before it’s there on the outer surface.
-
Preconceived Notions – When you form an opinion on something based on others’ experiences and points of view, you are dulling your ability of looking for new ideas, sentiments, thoughts, and views on something which can be the most beautiful and creative experience for your nature. Remember, each person carries a different spark in their living being. Everything around us has a right to be and live in its original form. Let your taste buds try what works for your system. Live it and learn from your capacities, not from others. Open the gate and welcome everything coming your way. When you cherish new things, it brings you growth.
-
Fear – The fear of the unknown can block the most amazing vibrations and can put you in a box which will always make you puzzled. Life is a journey and losing and gaining is part of every human emotion and conviction. So, set yourself free and jump in to start living. Live it fully rather than suffocating your desires. It is good to live than keep regretting. The world is full of magic and miracles – look for magic and miracles in everything that ignites your senses.
-
Hatred – Forgiveness can be given from within as well as by outer actions. There may be some people and incidents that we can forgive inside us because we understand the misfortune one has had to put up with along the way. Nonetheless, we set boundaries to those on a social or outer surface to guard our peace and wellbeing. Some acts of forgiveness happen through our actions based on personal, professional, or social grounds. In both these scenarios, carrying hate, vengeance, or bitterness will eventually slow down your creativity, productivity, and growth. Avoiding to hate, no matter how difficult it is to balance and achieve acceptance of a certain situation or a person, is like a poison that we are avoiding to drink. Remember – what you give power to has power over you – so choose acceptance over hate.
